Ladybug's Kitty Rescue The adoption fee for our cats/kittens is $30 plus a pre paid amount to have them altered by your Vet (the fee depends on how much your Vet charges for these services). If you are adopting an adult cat or one that has already been spayed/neutered then you will pay only $35. A higher charge may apply for pure bred cats. Each cat/kitten will have their first FVRCP vaccination, be dewormed, tested negatively for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and be flea free. Any cat/kitten adopted from a shelter/rescue can be expected to have an upper respiratory infection (a cold) generally due to the stress of being placed in a new home. You will be responsible for treating your new pet for this and for completing the vaccinations and purchasing a county tag. This application is part of our screening process for adoption. Our cats/kittens have all come to us because of neglect or abandonment. We need to insure that these pets go to 'forever' and responsible homes. Only an adult aged 21 or older may fill out this form. Only a Florida Resident may adopt an unaltered pet in the State of Florida. Adoptions are by apointment only. We are a volunteer Rescue and all have jobs and families that need our attention also. You may fill out this application, be sure to contact your Vet Office and let them know that it is ok for them to speak to me, Vicki Hansen concerning their being a reference for you in the adoption process and request a meeting with the cat/kitten of your choice. We must have your Veteriarians name to approve your application. If you do not have a Veteriarian, then you must give us at least 2 letters of referrence from people who know you well and know what kind of pet owner you are.

Ladybug's Kitty Rescue
Foster Parent Agreement
Foster Parents are needed to provide shelter, love, care, and safe keeping any pet that they agree to foster. You will maintain all pets in your care following the leash laws and our county ordinances. Ladybug's Kitty Rescue (hereafter referred to as LKR) will provide food, litter and medical care for any pet in foster care. In the event that a pet becomes ill, you will be required to contact Vicki Hansen (or in the case that LKR has a director of Foster Care, you will be required to contact the Director) to enable her to get the pet the medical attention it needs. If you are having any emergency situation in the middle of the night, this is still the requirement. If at any time you fail to contact either Vicki or the Director and you decide to take the pet to a Vet, then you agree to be responsible for all charges incurred. This is to include any medical care that might be needed if you take your foster pet out of town with you on vaccation or business. This has to be enforced due to budget contraints. Medical services have been agranged through LKR with a particular Vet at cost. This is the only way we can afford to have the medical care needed. You will be trained to take care of most illnesses that are typical of the pet in your care and will be provided with any medications to have on hand that you may need. You will always have 24 hour access to either Vicki Hansen or the Director in case you run into a problem that you don't feel comfortable handling. Foster Parents are allowed to keep a pet that they bond with and decide that they want to give a 'forever' home to. Foster Parents are not allowed to give away any of the pets they have been given to care for. This includes any pets that you found and relinquished to LKR and subsequently agreed to Foster. All persons insterested must fill out an application and submit it for approval, sign the adoption agreement and pay the required adoption fees. This will allow for the follow up on the pet and ensuring that the pet is spayed or neutered. It will also allow for funds to save more pets. There would be no point to this program if we can not ensure that all pets are spayed and neutered. Our mission to is care for and find homes for all homeless pets that come to us and to help end the pet over population problem. So strict adherence to this policy is mandatory. Dismissal as a Foster Parent will be the result. You are agreeing to keep the pet(s) until at which time they are adopted. You realize that sometimes they are not adopted as soon as they are old enough and that you may end up keeping them up to the age of 3 months or for 3 months where an adult is concerned. We will do everything in our power to ensure a timely adoption, but you will need to understand that this isn't always possible. If at any time you desire to stop being a Foster Parent you agree that you will allow LKR enough time to find a replacement Foster home for the pets in your care. Being a Foster Parent is a lot of hard work and it is a labor of love. We at LKR have all been Foster Parents ourselves and know this personally. We are very proud of our Foster Parents and very happy and thankful to each and everyone of you! Foster Parenting is the Life Line of many homeless pets. They are blood that nurishes the institution. Without Foster Parents there is no hope for all the homeless. I hereby agree to the terms and conditions set forth above. _______________________________ _____________________________ _______________________________ _____________________________
